I am working for almost a month now after months of training at PLC and I am currently adjusting with my recent lifestyle. It’s weird to have day offs on weekdays (Wed-Thur) and work on weekends too. But I am fine with my early in and out sched (0900H – 1630H) in contrast with my other batch mates where most are in mid shifts, which I think they enjoy more but not for me, for now. I am also adjusting with my work place and airport people as well which is far different from being a student. Awww, I miss school, I miss my friends. :c
But I am kinda getting used with my job. Although I still have lots of questions that need an answer because there are still confusions... you know! :) But for now, this is my world – the operations, the flight scheds, the arrival and departure gates, the check in counters, the mabuhay lounge, the travelers, the aircraft, the supervisors and colleagues, the cabin and flight deck crew, the radio (and Kilo Oscar, hehe!), everything about the airport. Yes work I’m now falling in love with you. Haha. I have no choice, I have to. Yay! :)
“One always has to know when a stage comes to an end. If we insist on staying longer than the necessary time, we lose the happiness and the meaning of the other stages we have to go through. Closing cycles, shutting doors, ending chapters - whatever name we give it, what matters is to leave in the past the moments of life that have finished”
PAULO Coelho [Closing Cycles]
Due to my work, I wasn’t able to go to church on Sundays to hear mass, have my usual church service and see my church friends and other church people. It has been my routine for the past three years and now, it’s sad to say... no, not goodbye, only farewell. Don’t worry, I will still see you guys once in a while and hope to still be able to help at church and hear mass during my day offs. I just remember one of Fr. Jeff’s homily, “Kung minsan ang tao pag naging masyado nang attached sa isang bagay o tao, gagawa ang Diyos o kalikasan ng paraan upang maghiwalay kayo...” Okie, sounds negative, but view it positively. Nothing is permanent in this world so don’t worry if you feel unlucky today because tomorrow will be another brand new day. And becasue nothing is permanent, people also come and go. But I am happy that I’ve touched their lives and I am also happy that they’ve touched my life too. I’ve also learned that even if you’re used to something or someone already, time will come that you have to give it up in return of other opportunities and blessings.
Remember, we can have it ALL but we can’t have it all at once.
All my praises to God. :)
“I just want to THANK YOU guys for making my stay at church memorable and fruitful. It was a great experience spending my weekends with great people for the past 3 years. Thank you for the friendship and hope to still see you once in a while. God Bless :)”
